Whenever I have the time or the inclination to smoke a larger bowl, more times than not I'm still reaching for a Country Gentleman. It's a filtered pipe (which I smoke without a filter) and it features a hardwood plug to prevent burn-out. Years ago Missouri Meerschaum produced the Country Gent without the plug, and I lobbied hard for them to add the feature, not only because it was a great feature, but because similar pipes in their range, like the Diplomat were priced the same and featured a plug.
