The Aug 3, 1934 issue of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported on a 2 1/2 year old baby who smoked a corncob pipe. I think we call all agree that this was just wrong. My dad was born in 1934, so that means that this baby is just a few years older than him, assuming he inherited his grandmother's genes. I wonder if anyone knows more about this. I guess it's back to Google for me. The "Aristocob" pipe was manufactured from the 1960's by Al Cobb Corp, and into the early 1980's by Missouri Meerschaum. It featured a replaceable corn cob core in an aluminum Art Deco bowl. We've retired our old Aristocob.com site, where we offered sweet smoking factory-fresh Missouri Meerschaum Corn Cob Pipes, but I still smoke them daily and am happy to curate links to my favorites on Amazon.
OK, I think we can all agree... this is just wrong.
